Jamal Hill
Jamal Hill is an accomplished film director, screenwriter, and producer known for his powerful storytelling and ability to bring authenticity to the screen.

Hill began his career in the film industry as an assistant director on the set of "The Sopranos" before transitioning to directing. His first feature film, "Money Power & Respect," received critical acclaim and set the stage for his future success. Hill is perhaps best known for his work on the movie "Brotherly Love".

Tressa Smallwood
Tressa Azarel Smallwood, founder and CEO of MegaMind Media, is an award-winning television and film producer; earning nominations in 2024 for the NAACP Image Awards’ for Outstanding Television Movie and the NAMIC Awards’ in 2023 for Best Original Picture.
Smallwood’s production company specializes in creating compelling original content for female audiences. In seven years, under her leadership, MegaMind Media has produced over 27 projects including the two-time NAACP Image Awards nominated feature for Outstanding Television Movie and Outstanding Directing In A Television Movie, First Lady Of BMF: The Tonesa Welch Story, Secrets, “Wicked City” (renewed for a third season), Holiday Heartbreak, Trophy Wife, The Sound of Christmas, Sinners Wanted, The Available Wife, Dear Best Friend, and the NAMIC Awards’ nominated film, A Rich Christmas. Smallwood is a member of the Producers Guild of America and the Television Academy.

Larenz Tate
Larenz Tate is an American actor and producer, best known for his versatile performances in film and television. Born on September 8, 1975, in Chicago, Illinois, he gained prominence in the 1990s with roles in critically acclaimed films such as "Menace II Society," "Dead Presidents," and "Love Jones." His charisma and talent led to a successful career in television as well, with notable roles in series like "Power" and "Southland."
Tate's work often explores complex characters and social themes, earning him a reputation as a compelling actor. In addition to acting, he has ventured into producing, showcasing his commitment to diverse storytelling in Hollywood. Larenz Tate remains a respected figure in the entertainment industry, celebrated for his contributions to both film and television.

Kevin Johnson is the Executive Director of Albany's Palace Theater and the CEO of Johnson Communications, where he has made a significant impact in the entertainment industry. With a passion for the arts and community engagement, Kevin has transformed the Palace Theater into a vibrant hub, consistently showcasing top-tier talent. His commitment to promoting Black entertainers has brought some of the nation’s finest comedians and musicians to the region, enriching Albany's cultural landscape.
In his dual roles, Kevin combines his expertise in media and communication to support and promote the arts, ensuring that every event resonates with the community. His innovative approach fosters inclusivity and celebrates diverse talent, making him a transformative force in Albany’s entertainment scene. Through his leadership, Kevin continues to elevate the arts and create meaningful experiences for audiences.

Patrick Harris Jr
President of Collectiveffort, the agency that led design & project management for this festival, Patrick began his film career as a child on Sesame Street. In 2020, he co-produced his first feature film "Lunamancer" which won best film at the Philip K. Dick Sci-Fi Film Fest (2021) & Midwest Weird Fest (2022).

As a podcast host, they engage audiences in meaningful discussions about art and inclusivity, while their work as an artist and singer showcases their creativity. Morgan is dedicated to raising awareness for disability support, striving to create accessible spaces for all to express themselves. An entrepreneur at heart, Morgan continues to inspire and foster a more inclusive artistic community.

Tarek "Terk" Stevens
Tarek “Terk” Stevens is the C.E.O. of Terk Entertainment Group. Terk’s career extends over three decades. He uses his celebrity platform as a vessel to bring awareness to political and social issues as they relate to multiculturalism and diversity. In 2010 Terk ran for Congress seeking the non-voting seat as Washington, D.C.’s Shadow Representative. With his company Terk Entertainment Group, he’s been successful in fostering partnerships that span the globe. He co-produced BET Africa’s first television series, “Top Actor,” a competitive reality show for actors. His company creates, develops, and distributes content for the African American and trans-Atlantic African Diaspora. Terk partnered with Octet Productions on the films Angrily Ever After, Twas the Chaos before Christmas, The Christmas Lottery and Big Fifty on BET+. They recently wrapped filming in South Africa, A Wesley South African Christmas, that will air this upcoming Christmas season. Terk created and partnered with Octet again to produced the Gospel Celebration of Unity the evening of the Biden-Harris 2021 Presidential Inauguration. This global broadcast event featured the biggest names in Gospel music from around the world. His venture into live events has proven to be a hit for the Oscars weekend. He is the creator of the Influencers Brunch. This premiere event converges Wall Street, Capitol Hill, Silicon Valley, Sports and Hollywood while interviewing key Influencers over brunch. Terk was a minority shareowner with the 2021 National Champion Washington Spirit of the National Women’s Soccer League. Terk is the owner of Friendly Brave management company that represents social media singing sensation Makenzie Thomas. Terk is represented by Crystal Ship Artists Agency.
